Welcome to 4th grade! We will continue to discuss each day how having a growth mindset is going to be so beneficial to a successful year:-) Please make sure kids are completing their zone/check in form every day.
Our learning seems to still be going smoothly! Thanks for all your help. I hope our individual meetings clarify any issues/questions you are having. The weekly plans will be in Classroom listed under the topic "Week at a Glance" on Tuesday by 8:30 next week. I will also email the weekly plan to you and attach it here. This week's focus is an ELA lesson on informational writing. It's important for kids to do the IXL diagnostics each day and to get their Lexia units and read to self time in too. Remember, I am only allowed to assign 60-90 minutes of work a day. This will be the last week of new work. Don't forget the special teachers' lessons as well! Field Day will be Thursday, May 28th. Mr. Pfahler's plan will be in classroom under the PE link in the week at a glance board on Thursday.
Library BooksDo you know what books you have checked out from our library? Do you know where they are located? Now is the time to start gathering them together so you can return them back to school when it is safe to do so. You can see the books you have checked out by logging into your account on Destiny Discover, our library catalog. Here's a brief screencast video to help you do that. Please contact Mrs. Bacolor (cbacolor@sjschools.org) if you have any questions.
It is recommended to stick to the normal bed time and start working around the normal morning time too. Please don't hesitate to ask questions or have the kids send messages in itslearning. Thank you for your support at home!
